Hello, I have an 2010 Audi S5 4.2L M/T. Car started but after a very long crank. At idle car runs very rough. A lot of white smoke comes out from the exhaust pipes. The S5's V8 is 98 RON with 95 RON allowable with reduced performance. I tend to keep it filled with Optimax or Tesco 99 wherever I can. Oddly (in my opinion), the RS 6 specifies 95 RON or 91 RON with reduced performance, so Audi are obviously moving away from high-octane fuel requirement.

If it goes all sluggish on throttle, check the catalytic converter for blockage, O2 sensor out and camera down hole.
