Placed an order for the Koss Porta Pro Utility as KPH40 was unavailable. Had to place the order in the US Amazon store as the product was not available in Mexico. Including shipping and customs, cost was around 100USD with additional utility lightning connector. Shipping took a few days. Finally reached.
The Sennheiser HD280 Pro is detailed to a certain extent, and kinda mid focused. Honestly I think the 20 dollar Salnotes Zero beats it out for details. Only plus is that it's less treble focused and therefore more enjoyable for longer listens. Comfy too. The Koss Porta Pros were my daily drivers for a while.
Compared to most $20-40 headphones that were on the market over the same time the porta pro (or you could argue the entire 60 ohm koss lineup) were typically better sounding. If your use to nicer headphones these won't always stack up well. As others have said the Yaxi pads are a very worthwhile add on, both in the comfort and sound department.

Beats are going to be superior in a lot of ways for BT, but won't get them for $80. I'd put money up that the PortaPro wireless sounds better (not that Beats sound bad anymore). For calls on the go and general practicality, the LG Tones HBS-835S is tough to beat.

Yaxi pads with Koss Porta Pro impressions: Hell yes. Won't beat around the bush here, gonna give you what I hear/feel quick. Comfort is better, the pads are bigger, at least when new, you do not feel the driver housing on your ear at all, just comfy pads, no clue on comfort as the pads wear in though. The bass is noticeably more extended, still Both are inexpensive with the Porta Pro retailing for $49.99 USD and the PX 100-II retailing for $69.99 USD. Both are also offered in variants with an in-line mic and iDevice controls for a little extra ($79.99 for the Porta Pro KTC, $89.99 USD for the PX 100IIi). Construction The Porta Pro is mostly plastic with a sliding adjustable metal band. Porta Pros should get plenty loud on most devices---but they are 60 ohm headphones, compared to Grado SR60s at 32 ohms. That's not the only factor which affects loudness, but it could be the reason. Devices don't get as loud as they used to, either. I used Porta Pros with a cassette Walkman back in the 80s, and I could get it uncomfortably loud Koss headphones are basically handbags for men lol, something for every occasion. Yeah the Porta pro, KPH40, KPH30I, and KSC35 use the same drivers. The KSC75, KTXPro1, and UR40 use the same Titanium coated driver. Porta Pro and KPH40 are identical other than the clamp force. Only recently started gaming casually with headphones: while the 58x sounds unbelievably good for games, I still reach for the KPH30i more often than not. Both cans sound great through the crappy PS4 dualshock headphone jack, surprisingly. The KPH30i is just so light and easy to use it tends to win out.
